Two years after the ICJ delivered its historic advisory opinion on the OPT, we co-authored (alongside Julia Dehm, Ntina Tzouvala, Haris Jamil, Adil Hasan Khan, Sophie Rigney and Elliot Dolan-Evans) an extensive case-note/commentary on the case. The note reflects on the triumphs, failures, and everything in-between of the AO.
My own contribution to it focuses on third-state responsibility vis-a-vis the Israeli war economy, arguing that the war economy of grave violations can not be separated from Israel’s economy as a whole.
